In the case of good books, the point is not how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you.

opening statement
We have a lot of books between the two of us. They've been relegated to various shelves, gathering dust, for years. In an attempt to motivate ourselves to read them, we're starting this blog. The idea is to read quickly, and post about our current book, either when we've finished it, or along the way. We both have a list of the books on our shelves over there on the right, and will each pick off one at a time until we've widdled the list down to zero. Once finished, the book will move to our "checked off" column. This will take some time. We'll doubtlessly add some along the way, and a monthly bookclub book will also sneak in (which we'll both review- two for one!). Some of you may think this seems contrary to adler's quote up top, but it's not. While we do have many books to get through, how can they get through to us unless we get through them first?
